We remind you that all liquid chemicals (new and/or waste cans) must be kept in a retention tank.

Liquid chemical waste must be collected in 5 liter cans (empty 5 liter ethanol cans) by separating them as follows:

• Organic acids (e.g. formic, lactic, acetic acid…) / Mineral acids (e.g. sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric, phosphoric acid…)
• Organic bases (e.g. pyridine, diethylamide, photo developer) / Mineral bases (e.g. NaOH or KOH solutions…)
• NON halogenated solvents (e.g. acetone, methanol, ethanol, heptane, acetonitrile, toluene, ether, phenol…)
• Halogenated solvents (e.g. dichloromethane, chloroform, phenol/chloroform mixture (Trizol) or solvent containing bromine, chlorine, fluorine or iodine…)
• Toxic liquids (PFA, drugs, dyes, CMR). Toxic liquids must be separated according to their nature.
• Used oil (paraffin oil, pump oil…)

Please clearly indicate the composition of the waste on the cans.

The 5 liter cans must be filled to the maximum filling line (end of the vertical part of the can, and not to the brim); they will not be collected if too full!

Please deposit full cans in the dedicated chemical storage areas on the floors (as well as solid waste in its original container).
